Bronco Mendenhall's New Habit

I have to share this picture!

Our friend, Alanna Francom, took this picture with her camera today at the BYU Women's Clinic and her husband Kurt sent it to us. I had to put it on our blog because I couldn't stop laughing when I saw it. It totally looks like Bronco has started a new habit, please look at it closely and you will see it isn't what it first appears to be...but I always learned on my mission "Avoid the very appearance of evil"!

Too funny...

Oh, and it looks like my good buddy, Brandon Doman, had too many to drink...LOL!

These are of course just funny photos, but these are 2 of the greatest guys out there and I LOVE BYU!!!

Anyway, about 29 days and 17 hours until BYU kicks off their amazing 2008 football season, they will be great this year! I can't wait!!!

July 4th Weekend -- More Fun Stuff

The 2 days after the 4th of July were spent mostly in Orem with Derek's family including a brother and his family that were here all the way from Seattle.

Saturday, July 5th the whole group (Grandma Kathy and Grandpa Dennis, our family, Bart, Rebecca, Caz, Caleb, and Cami, Dan, Shauna, Riley, Isaac, and Kelly) all got together and went to go see Wall-E. Afterwards we all went to Chuck E Cheese, which the kids all just loved. Grace won a lot of tickets and got some prizes and Ryan enjoyed green beans while we all ate pizza.

Grace particularly loved the clock ride, but pretty much had a blast on all the rides she went on. Derek tried to teach her Skee-Ball, but it might be a little premature.

We then went back to Derek's parents house and did more fireworks in the street.

Sunday, July 6th we got together for the extended Family Home Evening and dinner, it was great to see all of the family!

A general update on the family:

Derek's job is continuing to go well, he has had a lot of success bringing on new accounts and is really enjoying himself. He is travelling to St George for a very important sales call and presentation tomorrow. He is heading down and back in the same day. He is keeping very busy with his job and also his calling in the Bishopric. He was the only member of the Bishopric there on Sunday and had to deal with a lot of stuff including announcing a building change for our ward. He is a little less busy now that T-ball has ended.

Melinda is keeping busy with the kids and loves working out in the mornings with her friend Ang. They also love to go swimming as much as possible with the kids. She has been running Grace through homework and activities to get her ready for Kindergarten. This was a fun picture taken after one of Grace's t-ball games. Grace is the credited photographer of this awesome picture, so we had to include it...

Grace is reading and getting better and better at it each day. She loves homework and learning, she is SOOO excited for Kindergarten. She misses T-Ball and had a lot of fun being on daddy's team this year. She loves her trophy that she got!

Ryan is scooting all over the place and rolling around. He is getting very close to sitting up all on his own and is probably another month or so away from crawling. He gets up on his knees and hands and scoots himself backwards. He is a very active kid and is growing a lot!

~Love you all! Derek, Melinda, Grace, and Ryan ~

4th of July in Hooper

We had a great 4th of July weekend. We spent the 4th of July day up in Hooper with Melinda's family. Melinda's mom (Granny) was born on the 4th of July, so it is always fun to celebrate her birthday along with the holiday.

We didn't take any pictures at their house, but these pictures were taken as we arrived. On the way up Grace and Ryan fell asleep in the car. It is so cute to see them both sleeping like that. Grace woke up quickly, though, to play with her uncles.

There were a lot of fun water games and the guys mostly played catch with the baseball and there was amazing food and fun. Once it got dark we went crazy with the fireworks in the street. It was a nice and relaxing 4th of July and is always good to spend these holidays with family!

Ryan LOVES Carrots!

As you can see by these pictures, Ryan loves the opportunity to now be eating carrots, sweet potatoes, green beans, and other great foods. He does pretty well. Here were some funny pictures a few weeks ago from Ryan eating carrots. You can see he has food all over him! Grace loves hamming it up with him, too!

This last picture...Ryan has about had it!
