Softball Begins
Grace is now old enough to play softball. She has games two days a week and practice on Saturday morning. So far two games have been canceled for bad weather, but she played last Thursday.

Derek's parents, Dennis and Kathy, were at the game. Ryan was telling us how he felt that he was not able to play.

They did not keep score and each inning consisted of every girl batting once. There ended up being four innings. At one point a grounder was hit (Yes, every hit is a grounder and none make it to the grass) and it went to Grace. She picked it up and threw it most of the way to first. She has a pretty good arm. Most of the girls' throws end up at their own feet. Derek has been spending time playing catch with her and it shows.

Go team, go!!!
Easter Morning
The Easter bunny hid eggs around the house. He made some easy to find, others a bit harder.

Ryan had a couple of eggs and did not feel a need to find any more.

Grace's basket was in the clothes hamper.

I have no idea what the face is about. It just makes me laugh.
The Easter Bunny gave us too much candy. I think that she did not understand how much she got when she got it. The books were a big hit, like always. Grace got A Bad Case of Stripes. I love this book and was glad to see Grace enjoy it.

We were able to watch the Sunday sessions of Conference with...the Sessions. My family came over or up. The were here from Arizona. It was so good to see them. I miss them, but I do get to talk to them often.
BTW-Congrats to Brittany who got accepted and is going to be going to BYU-I! I am so excited that she will be closer.

ST GEORGE: The birth place of red dirt
We went to St. George for Spring Break. We took a day to drive down, which was super nice because we did not have to get up early.
Day two we spent in Snow Canyon. By the way, do not ask your GPS where the entrance to Snow Canyon is. It will send you 20 minutes away to nowheresville and tell you that you have arrived at your destination. Follow the road signs like your mind-that is capable of rational thought-tells you to.

Ryan and Grace had fun playing in the dirt...

dirt...

and even more dirt.

Derek and Grace made an outline of a house.

There were rooms for everyone. The sand was warm, red, and plentiful. It felt amazing on our feet.

There was also plenty of rock formations to climb on.

On Day three we had lunch at the park, rode bikes, played catch, and went down the slide. After that we went...
BOWLING!!!

Grace bowled with an orange ball and did it granny style.

Derek's form was not as entertaining to watch.

I actually do not remember who won, but I know that I used the bumpers several times.
Day four we drove home while we listened to General Conference. The talks were amazing and made the drive go faster.
